Match Report Press Report

Chichester 1 Lost to Winchester 1 in a close match.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 2 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 15 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Chris Waight winning through.

It was the number 5 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 91 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Chris Waight.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 1 string, Jared Carter, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 1 string, Jared Carter, who over-turned a 538 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.

If the Away No. 3 player, Gary Hinton, had not had to withdraw after 2 game(s) the result could have been closer.

If the Home No. 4 player, Mike Jordan, had not had to withdraw after 2 game(s) the result could have been closer.
